J. Barnwell Fishburne, Jr.

Barnwell is a litigation associate and focuses his practice on construction defect, products liability, premises liability, personal injury and general civil litigation.

Originally from Walterboro, South Carolina, Barnwell is a graduate of Porter-Gaud School, College of Charleston (B.S. 2010), and the Charleston School of Law (J.D. 2014). While in law school, he was a Legal Research and Writing Teaching Fellow and received a CALI award (highest class grade) for Legal Research and Writing I. Barnwell was also an Executive Member of the Moot Court Board where he competed in three national competitions and earned individual awards for his advocacy.

Prior to joining Luzuriaga Mims, Barnwell served as a judicial law clerk to the Honorable Irvin G. Condon, Judge of Probate for Charleston County, and the Honorable Mikell R. Scarborough, Charleston County Master-in-Equity.
